The Wine & Food Society of San Francisco inaugurated a new dining relationship at a sumptuous table seating 61 members and guests in The French Club, L'Circle de la Union. The unusually warm San Francisco evening was festive indeed; some even removed their jackets; conversations bubbled on around and across the elegant candle-lit setting. Chef Chirant created a delicious repast that caused delighted comment as each course was served; Wine Chairman Paras complemented each with our cellar wines, well matched. A memorable evening, and grand start for a tradition to be built. (LL)
