Acquerello is hidden along a nondescript street away from other venues of such quality. It is a gem in the rough and has been for years. This is the fourth time the Society has enjoyed the skills of Suzette and GianCarlo, and they seem to be getting better with time. A sumptuous evening where the wine and food were delicately matched and seemed made for each other. The first course, a carpaccio covered with cellophane-thin slices of baby heirloom tomatoes, was accompanied by clear tomato liquid served in a cobalt blue glass. A gorgeous presentation, reminiscent of stained glass. It kept going to create a memorable evening. (LL/RH)
