Monday night's dinner at the grand reopening of the remodeled La Folie was a grand success. Passed appetizers were excellent, especially the lamb skewers and quail egg on pan cakes. The main event started with Osetra Caviar then Black Cod perfectly prepared and matched to the Porcini Ragot. The Painted Hill Beef was mouth watering, and Roland's signature "Burger Rossini" was a huge hit. The dueling Pichons were a welcome treat from our cellar. The buzz on the wine around my tableĘfavored the '89 Baron with the meal. The evening was finished with a cheese and poached pear course prior to the Grand Marnier SoufflŽ with Griottines Cherry cream. (RH)
