The evening's elegant menu mirrored that of the dinner served 70 years ago, creatively updated. Courses were beautifully paired with generous selections from the cellar. The gala meal ended on a spectacular high note with a dessert from the 1935 menu paired with a 1989 Rieussec, which was the same chateau chosen for dessert at that first dinner 70 years ago. The high note continued with music by The Swing Society, to which members and their guests danced the night away. Accolades to the Dinner Committee. (RH)
